Bio

I am a fifth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech, advised by Prof. Dan Williams. I hold an M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a B.E. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

My research focuses on building reliable and efficient software in the era of agentic AI. My primary focus is operating systems. I study how to make kernel extensions safer and more efficient, with a focus on Linux eBPF. These improvements benefit applications in networking, profiling, and system observability. More broadly, I study how to evaluate and improve the reliability of LLM-assisted software development. I also build systems for security analysis, using cyber threat intelligence to support threat modeling and investigation.

Topics I am currently interested in:

• safe kernel extensions (e.g., eBPF, its verifier and JIT compiler)
• vulnerabilities in open-source software (e.g., Rust applications)
• agentic AI for operating systems

Note: I am currently looking for full-time software engineering or research positions starting in 2027. I am also looking for internships for Summer 2027.
